Lore Gruenbaum: $5 Million Research Initiative Targets New Therapies for Myelodysplastic Syndrome

Lore Gruenbaum, Chief Scientific Officer at Blood Cancer United, shared on LinkedIn:

“We are excited and honored to announce a collaboration with the Edward P. Evans Foundation to support urgently needed research on myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a group of blood cancers that still lacks effective therapies for many patients. Our organizations are each committing $2.5 million to fund a multi – year ambitious, multi – disciplinary research project to better understand this group of diseases and develop novel therapies.

This award will be managed under our Specialized Center of Research (SCOR) program, which brings together teams of leading investigators working across institutions and scientific disciplines. By supporting multiple interconnected projects under a single research program, SCOR fosters collaboration, accelerates scientific discovery and helps move promising research closer to clinical application.

Learn more about our joint commitment and find information on the SCOR program and the application process here.”
