Lacy Hubbard to Represent Elekta Foundation at Inaugural Global Cancer Financing Platform

Elekta Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Elekta Foundation is honoured to participate in the inaugural Global Cancer Financing Platform event, hosted by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and Bloomberg New Economy International Cancer Coalition.

Our President and CEO, Lacy Hubbard, MBA, will be attending this high-level event in New York City on September 25th.

Gatherings like this are crucial for bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors to drive critical change. This initiative aims to accelerate a global shift toward earlier cancer diagnosis and close the cancer equity gap, a mission we believe is essential for increasing funding and collaboration to eliminate cervical cancer in low-resource settings.

Cervical cancer is a leading cause of death for women in many parts of the world, but it is highly preventable and treatable with early detection. Our work in Rwanda is a testament to what’s possible when partners unite.

Through collaboration with the Rwandan Ministry of Health, Partners in Health, and other key partners, we’ve developed a sustainable model for women’s cancer care that has screened over 300,000 women for cervical cancer and over 230,000 for breast cancer.

This work is a testament to what’s possible when we unite with a shared purpose: to empower communities and save lives.

We are excited for Lacy to share our achievements and learn from others as we work toward our ambitious goal of eliminating cervical cancer.”
