“It’s hard to believe it has been almost 8 years since I joined the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
Reflecting on this milestone, I’m struck by how much I have grown both personally and professionally. The intersection of medical publishing and oncology is complex and constantly changing, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to continually learn, adapt, and evolve within this space.
For about the past 2 years, I have had the distinct privilege of being at the helm of ASCO Daily News. I don’t take this lightly and truly thank the entire Meeting and Member Publications team for trusting me with this position.
To my incredible staff Geraldine Carroll, Hana Haidar, and Steve Cimino: Thank you! I could probably talk for 1,000+ words about how incredible this small but mighty team is and all the amazing work we have completed (which is truly because of all of you), but then this would turn into an Expert Editorial, and no one wants that when we get plenty of those in our day-to-day!
I will say that managing this team has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Your dedication, creativity, and hard work inspire me every single day, and I am so proud of what we accomplish together.
As I look ahead, I am incredibly energized by the strategic vision of our publication. The landscape of medical communications and news is shifting, and we are stepping up to the challenge – constantly refining our content strategy to ensure we deliver the highest quality, most impactful insights to the oncology health care community.
