Kimberly Demirha: My Official Last Day with the ACCC

Kimberly Demirha, Assistant Director of Education Programs at MJH Life Sciences, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Today marks my official last day with the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC). That’s such a bittersweet thing to write.

ACCC welcomed me back with open arms at a time when I was burnt out from clinical care after supporting transplant patients during the COVID-19 era. It gave me a place to grow in program strategy, execution, and team management, while still allowing me to bring forward the clinical insights I had gained in the field.

I’ve been honored to collaborate with brilliant colleagues and partners who share a deep commitment to advancing oncology care along the way. From launching ACCC’s first head and neck program, to leading collaborative hematology initiatives, to advancing clinical trials in community cancer centers through ACORI — the juice was truly worth the squeeze.

I want to thank everyone I’ve worked with over the last several years for your support, camaraderie, and collaboration. I could never have achieved so much without the dedicated, goal-oriented individuals I now call friends, who care so deeply about improving the lives of patients with cancer through professional education and advocacy.

I’ll be taking a little time off to re-group and re-center my focus before starting my next chapter.

I’m excited to share what’s ahead soon. Stay tuned.”
