Kimberly Buff: Parent-Reported Psychosocial Care Findings Selected for Oral Presentation at SIOP 2026

Kimberly Buff, Founder and Executive Director at Momcology, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“On behalf of the iSTEPPP (Implementing the Standards Together: Engaging Parents and Providers in Psychosocial Care) study team, I am pleased to share that the highly anticipated parent-reported findings from our psychosocial standards of care implementation study has been selected for oral presentation at the 2026 SIOP Congress in San Antonio.

This presentation will mark an important milestone in pediatric psychosocial oncology, highlighting the experiences of families across the childhood cancer community and offering one of the most comprehensive assessments to date of how the 15 Psychosocial Standards of Care are being implemented in practice.

We hope both healthcare professionals and patient advocates will join us as we share these findings and continue the important work of advancing equitable, family-centered psychosocial care for every child and family affected by childhood cancer.

Thank you to the many parents whose participation made this work possible; to Mattie Miracle Cancer Foundation for inviting Momcology into the study; The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation for funding this work; and to the entire study team from Nemours and NIH for keeping children, families, and lived experience at the center of research.”
