“In addition to my earlier re-posting of the FDA announcement of the approval of vusolimogene oderparepvec (RP1, Tudriqev), I would like to add some further thoughts on the process and the team work that led to this positive outcome.
The FDA is a remarkable organisation and lived up to its reputation for rigorous examination of applications. It was a real privilege to be there to present in person.
I would also like to add a note of recognition to members of the Replimune team who showed such professionalism in preparing for the presentations and the all-important Q&A sessions.
Special mention must go to Rob Coffin and Praveen Bommareddy with whom our lab at The Institute of Cancer Research in London have had such an incredibly productive relationship over the last 5+ years.
Work by Joan Kyula-Currie, Vic Roulstone, Lizzie Appleton and Amarin Wongariyapak was instrumental in informing our understanding of the mechanism of action of RP1 and data from their work was highlighted in the direct Q&A exchanges with the FDA.
Overall, this has been a superb team effort – exemplified by some of the photos attached.”
