“I have spent the last day and a half at the Irish Association for Cancer Research (IACR) meeting in Galway. It has been a fantastic experience. I have been hugely impressed by the quality of the research that is being done by teams across multiple centres throughout Ireland.
I was so proud to have been invited by Breakthrough Cancer Research as their Guest Lecturer to speak on the topic of immunotherapy for patients with head and neck cancers. Breakthrough Cancer Research is driving an exciting programme of work across the island of Ireland, with a specific focus on diseases of unmet need that affect Irish (and global) patients.
As would be expected in Ireland, the quality of the science was matched by the warmth of the welcome and the hospitality of the hosts. Many thanks to all at IACR and Breakthrough Cancer Research for making this such a memorable experience.”
