Karoline Kehlet Receives the Best Speaker Award at the Annual Nordic Autophagy Society – Danish Cancer Institute

Danish Cancer Institute shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Congratulations to Karoline Kehlet on winning the Best Speaker Award at the Annual Nordic Autophagy Society (NAS) Conference in Stockholm.

Kehlet’s presentation explored how cancer cells may harness autophagy—an ancient “self-eating” process—to selectively degrade mRNA and adapt to cellular stress. By isolating mRNA from autophagic compartments, the research team she is part of is uncovering a potential survival mechanism that could inform future cancer therapies.

“I was really honoured and grateful to be offered the opportunity to give a short talk and to be chosen as the winner of the Best Speaker Award. Being able to present and discuss science with international colleagues like that is truly inspiring and motivating,” says Karoline Kehlet, research assistant in the Cellular Homeostasis and Recycling group led by Lisa Frankel.

Well done Karoline.”
