Kai-Cheng Hsu: Excited to Speak at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Taiwan Neurological Society

Kai-Cheng Hsu, President and Chief Medical Officer of Acer Medical, shared on LinkedIn:

“Excited to speak at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Taiwan Neurological Society on the topic:

‘AI-Augmented Neurologist: Redefining Clinical Work and Research.’

Neurology is rapidly evolving into an era where AI is not replacing physicians-but augmenting how we practice and conduct research.

In my talk, I shared three key directions shaping this transformation:

  • Generative AI in clinical documentation – turning physician-patient conversations into structured medical records, reducing administrative burden while improving data quality.
  • Predictive AI for diagnosis and risk stratification – leveraging imaging and physiological signals to enhance triage, consistency, and longitudinal care.
  • AI-enabled digital assessment and remote monitoring – extending neurological care beyond hospitals into real-world, community settings.

One of the most important shifts is that clinical workflows themselves are becoming the engine for research. By embedding AI into routine care, we can generate high-quality, longitudinal, research-ready data-bridging the gap between bedside practice and translational research.

However, sustainable impact requires more than technology. Clinical validation, governance, bias control, and regulatory alignment (SaMD) will define whether AI truly delivers value in healthcare.

The future is not AI vs. physicians.

It is AI + clinicians-working together to redefine neurology.”
