Kadri Altundag, Professor at MKA Breast Cancer Clinic, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“In 2006, I began caring for patients with breast cancer, building upon the invaluable experience and training I received in Breast Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center during 2004–2005. Today, the number of breast cancer patients I have personally managed has surpassed 10,000. This is a deeply meaningful milestone for both me and my patients.
Following my mandatory academic departure, I have remained fully committed at MKA Breast Cancer Clinic, Ankara, Türkiye to providing our patients with the best and most up-to-date treatment approaches, while continuing my international scientific collaborations and communications with great determination and passion.
Sharing every new piece of knowledge and translating it into better care for my patients continues to be an extraordinary feeling and a lifelong motivation.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my wife, Ozden Altundag, MD, FICS ; to Lajos Pusztai from Yale University; and to Gabriel N. Hortobagyi from MD Anderson Cancer Center for their inspiration and support throughout my journey.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to my 40-year friend, Andrew Jack, Global Education Editor of the Financial Times, an internationally respected journalist and thought leader in global education, healthcare, and public policy. His intellectual encouragement, global perspective, and unwavering friendship over the decades have always been a tremendous source of motivation and support for me.”
To which Ozden Altundag, Professor at Baskent University Hospital, Professor, FICS at Baskent University, added:
“Congrats Sir. I am proud of you.”
