Juan Manuel O´Connor, Head of Department at Instituto Alexander Fleming, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Reflections from Berlin, ESMO Congress 2025
Being part of the ESMO in Berlin – both as a Scientific Committee member and as a speaker – was a truly rewarding experience. Beyond the honor itself, it was a chance to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and reaffirm a commitment that drives us all: to advance care and outcomes for patients living with cancer.
None of this would be possible without the dedication and teamwork of the GI Unit at IAF (Instituto Alexander Fleming), a group that continuously strives for excellence through collaboration, innovation, and patient-centered care Federico Esteso, Berenice freile, Greta Catani, Andrés Rodríguez, Luisina Bruno, Ana Isabel Oviedo Albor, Romina Luca.
My sincere appreciation also goes to Fundación Cáncer – FUCA, whose ongoing support for continuous medical education plays a key role in shaping the next generation of oncology professionals in Argentina.
Moments like these remind us that science progresses through collaboration, rigorous work, and shared purpose.
I return from Berlin with gratitude, renewed energy, and the conviction that the most meaningful achievements in oncology are always collective ones.”
