Joshua Omale, Innovation Council Member at Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Day 27: Policy matters
Childhood cancer is not just a medical issue; it is a policy issue. Behind every child’s diagnosis are questions of access, equity, and support systems that only strong policies can provide.
Without national commitments, budgets, and laws that prioritize childhood cancer, too many families are left to fight alone. Change cannot depend on charity alone; it must be embedded in systems that guarantee care for every child.
Real change requires political will. Until governments see children’s lives as a priority, we will continue to lose what we cannot replace.
Children deserve more than awareness; they deserve action at the highest levels.”
