Joaquin Duato, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Johnson & Johnson, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“With great joy, I watched the football final. As someone who proudly calls both Spain and the United States home, it was a special moment to see Spain lift the trophy. It was also meaningful to see New Jersey, home to Johnson & Johnson for 140 years, host the match.
Most of all, I am proud of how Team Spain won. Over the course of the entire tournament, La Roja conceded just one goal.
That record-setting achievement reflected the power of excellence in every member of the team. Spain’s coach Luis de la Fuente said it best:
‘We’re facing one of the best lineups in the world, but we’re the best team in the world.’
There’s a lesson here that extends far beyond football: when people bring their individual strengths together in service of a common goal, teams can achieve extraordinary results.”
