Joanna Metzner-Sadurski: What Happens When Clinical Trials Come Closer to Home?

Joanna Metzner-Sadurski, Member of the Board of Advisors at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and President of Oncology101.org, shared on LinkedIn:

“Thank you to the South Carolina Medical Association for recognizing our work at Self Regional Healthcare in SCMA Magazine. It was a joy to see ‘Bringing Clinical Trials Closer to Home’ in print.

I’m proud to work alongside Ruiling Yuan, and our research team to make clinical trials more accessible to patients in Greenwood and surrounding rural communities.

Because patients before us chose to take part in clinical trials, more people are living longer with cancers that once felt like a death sentence. I’m deeply grateful to the patients who choose to participate today. Their commitment helps us build on those gains in survival and work toward more cures tomorrow.”
