Jill Feldman: An Incredible Honor Receiving AACR 26 Distinguished Patient Advocacy Award

Jill Feldman, Lung Cancer Patient and Advocate, Co-Founder of EGFR Resisters, shared Christine Lovly’s, post on X:

Receiving this award was an incredible honor, and I sincerely share it with all cancer research advocates. I am only the advocate I am today because of them and all those I have met, learned from, and worked alongside over the years – patients, caregivers, scientists, clinicians, nurses, organizations, and companies.

I am especially grateful to the seven founders of LUNGevity Foundation, who created the first Lung Cancer research organization, gave me a platform and a community, helped me find my voice, and showed me how to turn pain and suffering into passion and purpose.

I truly would not be where I am today if they had not started that organization in my community. Thank you, Melissa Zagon, Gayle Levy, Patti Helfand, Kay Barmore, Marge Breit, Dick Pemble, and Dena Winick.

Quoting Christine Lovly’s, Division Chief of Thoracic Medical Oncology at City of Hope, post on X:

Jill Feldman – to know her is to love her! Jill is a lung cancer patient, advocate, colleague, plus a friend to the entire cancer research community. Huge congrats on receiving AACR‘26 Distinguished Patient Advocacy plus Engagement Award.
