Jia Jenny Liu, Translational Lead of Early Phase Drug Development at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn by Children’s Medical Research Institute, adding:
“The NHMRC embargo on Ideas Grants has now lifted, and I’m pleased to share that our project on personalised proteomic reporting for precision cancer care has been funded.
This work, led by Dr Rebecca Poulos at ProCan Children’s Medical Research Institute, focuses on translating deep proteomic data into outputs that can genuinely inform clinical decision-making; moving beyond discovery toward implementation.
As ADCs, cell therapies, immunotherapy and biospecifics enter mainstream cancer care, genomics alone will not be sufficient biomarkers to determine which patients benefit from biomarker matched therapies.
Excited for the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team spanning clinical oncology in adult and pediatric cancers, proteomics, and data science.

Quoting Children’s Medical Research Institute‘s post:
“We are grateful to the National Health and Medical Research Council for granting four of our scientists highly sought after Ideas Grants. Congratulations to Professor Roger Reddel, Professor Tony Cesare, Associate Professor Grant Logan and Dr Rebecca Poulos. Read more.”
