Strengthening partnerships to advance equitable breast cancer care in Ghana.

Jhpiego Ghana, together with Dr. Ophira Ginsburg, met with officials from the Ministry Of Health, Ghana to discuss progress under the BEAT Breast Cancer project and explore opportunities to strengthen breast cancer services across the country further.

The engagement provided an opportunity to reflect on achievements, share implementation experiences, and explore strategies to further strengthen breast cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment across Ghana.

The discussions focused on the importance of evidence-informed policy making, building strong health systems, and sustained collaboration in improving cancer outcomes and reducing inequities in access to quality cancer care.

Partnership remains central to achieving sustainable improvements in women’s health.”

Ophira Ginsburg, Provost’s Visiting Professor of Global Cancer Equity at Imperial College London, shared Jhpiego Ghana’s post, adding:

“Thanks for a very productive and enjoyable visit! What a wonderful team Jhpiego Ghana 🇬🇭 and Ministry Of Health, Ghana !

As well as colleagues at the universities, hospitals, and clinics who are essential to the success of this important initiative for women with breast cancer in Ghana!”
