“For several months, a group of colleagues organized by International Society of Paediatric Oncology – SIOP past-president Dr. Guillermo Chantada developed a document to assist low- and middle-income countries in setting standards for the development of pediatric oncology centers.
Projects like these are aimed at helping reduce the gap in diagnosis and survival for children with cancer that exist only because they live in a certain place.
All children should have access to appropriate diagnosis and treatment, regardless of where they live.”
