“I am proud to be leading a new Article Collection in Annals of Medicine Journal: Patient Perspectives in Oncology
Cancer outcomes are often measured through tumor response, survival and treatment efficacy. These measures matter, but they do not capture the full experience of living with cancer and navigating care.
This collection will focus on what matters to patients, including:
- patient-reported outcomes and quality of life
- communication and shared decision making
- financial and time toxicity
- survivorship, supportive care and palliative care
- caregiver experiences
- inequalities in cancer care
- digital health and patient experience
We welcome original qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research, systematic reviews, clinical trials with patient-centred outcomes, study protocols and commentaries.
