Irmina Morawska, Research Fellow – ESOR Bracco Research Fellowship (Abdominal Radiology) at Università degli Studi di Palermo shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, while finishing my 4-month research fellowship in Palermo as part of the European School of Radiology (ESOR) Bracco Research Fellowship, I received news that honestly feels a little surreal.
I’ve been selected as one of 18 participants in the RSNA Introduction to Research for International Young Academics (IRIYA) 2026 program organized by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA)!
When I started my radiology residency, attending RSNA felt like one of those ‘maybe one day‘ dreams. Now not only am I going to RSNA 2026, but I’ll also have the opportunity to join an incredible international research program alongside inspiring young academics from around the world.
And yes… I’ve never been to Chicago before, so this will also be my first adventure in the Windy City!
I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity, for everyone who supported me along the way, and for all the mentors who encouraged me to keep growing in research and academic radiology.
Ending one unforgettable chapter in Palermo and starting another one with RSNA feels pretty special.
Excited, humbled, slightly overwhelmed… and very ready.
Chicago, let the fun begin!”
