“We are proud to congratulate Dr. Amalya Sargsyan, Lead of the Adult Solid Tumors Team and IO Accessibility Research Lead at the Immune Oncology Research Institute, on receiving the ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology Leadership and Career Development Award.
As part of this important next step in her professional journey, Amalya will join Prof. Sandra Strauss at UCL Health in London to further develop her expertise in Sarcoma and Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) oncology, with a particular focus on osteosarcoma.
Amalya has consistently combined clinical work, research, advocacy for better access to cancer care, and international collaboration with one central goal: improving outcomes for patients and strengthening oncology care in Armenia.
Her growing focus on sarcoma and AYA oncology represents an important area for the future of cancer care in our country, and we are proud to see her continue this journey alongside internationally recognized experts in the field.
