Imène Hadji: What Has Changed in the Treatment of Desmoid Tumors?

Imène Hadji, Medical Oncologist and OncoDaily Hub Lead, shared  by Journal of Immunotherapy and Precision Oncology on LinkedIn:

“Rome, September 2026.

It was a pleasure to present a clinical case on abdominal wall desmoid tumour at the ESO Refresher Course on Sarcoma, where I discussed the journey from active surveillance through interim treatment to systemic therapy with a gamma secretase inhibitor (nirogacestat) – illustrating how far the desmoid tumour treatment landscape has evolved in just a few years.

Sarcomas remain a complex, fast – evolving field, and staying up to date is essential to offering our patients the best possible care –  courses like this one are a powerful reminder of how much continuous learning shapes our practice.

Heartfelt thanks to the European School of Oncology (ESO) for this excellent course, to the outstanding faculty for their generosity in sharing knowledge, and to Course Chairs Prof. Bruno Vincenzi and Prof. Sylvie Bonvalot for putting together such a rich and thoughtful program. Special thanks also to the ESO organising team for their warmth and seamless support throughout the course. Alice Ciocchini Elena Fiore Francesca.

Grateful for the learning, the discussions, and the connections made along the way.”
