Honored and Proud to be Part of This Global Storytelling Initiative Presented by UICC – IGCS

International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) shared a post on LinkedIn:

Cancer is one of the greatest health challenges of our time. But around the world, people are changing the story.

Rewriting Cancer returns with powerful stories of innovation, partnership, and progress – from Fiji (that’s us!) to Argentina and beyond.

IGCS is honored and proud to be part of this global storytelling initiative, presented by UICC and produced for them by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions.

Our film highlights the impact of the IGCS Gynecologic Oncology Global Fellowship Program, which trains physicians in their own countries to become gynecologic cancer specialists. Featuring Dr. Nanise Sikiti, Fiji’s first formally trained gynecologic oncologist, alongside mentor Dr. Ai Ling Tan CNZM and fellow Dr. Unaisi Tabua, the story demonstrates the ripple effect of mentorship and locally led cancer care.

The story may unfold in Fiji, but its spirit lives across all 23 Fellowship training sites and the communities they serve. We cannot wait for you to see it.

Coming June 23.”
