Addressing the Cardiovascular Impact of Glioblastoma Treatment – ICOS

International Cardio-Oncology SocietyICOS shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Today is Glioblastoma Awareness Day – a day to recognize one of the most aggressive and challenging brain cancers we know.

Glioblastoma moves fast, and so does its treatment. The radiation and chemotherapy regimens used to fight it can place significant stress on the cardiovascular system – a reality that is often overshadowed by the urgency of the diagnosis itself. For cardio-oncology teams, that means staying closely involved from the very beginning of the treatment journey.

Today we stand with glioblastoma patients, survivors, and the researchers, clinicians, and caregivers who refuse to stop fighting. And we recommit to ensuring that cardiovascular health remains a priority – even in the most complex cases.”
