“On my way to Hong Kong for the World Cancer Congress, and I can’t wait to meet you all!
To every representative of Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) member societies attending in Hong Kong, I’d love to sit down with you during the Congress, share about our work, learn about the challenges we all face, and explore how we can do more together, because we need unity to improve and reach out.
I’m also proud to share that I’m standing in the UICC Board elections, hoping to be a voice for LMICs patients and healthcare providers.
In Egypt, we’ve seen what’s possible when committed people build a cancer care framework from the ground up, even with limited resources.
And how collaborations can push the scientific research forward, Those lessons belong to everyone still working to establish or strengthen cancer care in their own countries.
I want to carry them to the global table and push for real collaboration and inclusion, so that where a patient lives no longer decides the care they receive, and so that young oncologists, nurses, researchers, and every healthcare worker have a chance to contribute to the global work and be part of shaping future knowledge and guidelines.
