Helena Ros, EU Projects and Policy Officer at the Association of European Cancer Leagues, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I had the honour of presenting the work of the Association of European Cancer Leagues and the EU-funded BUMPER project at the 6th Portuguese National Congress on Cancer Prevention and Patients’ Rights, organised by the Portuguese League Against Cancer – Northern Regional Branch.
The session focused on the European Code Against Cancer ECAC IARC/WHO (International Agency for Research on Cancer/World Health Organization), and the importance of improving health literacy on cancer risk factors, an area closely linked to BUMPER’s objectives.
The project has contributed to the development of the new EU mobile app for cancer prevention, a key tool to help share the messages of the ECAC, including among people with lower health literacy. The app is not yet available to the public, but stay tuned for updates on its release.”
