Hans Christian Andersen’s Story Reminds Us: Liver Cancer Can Touch Anyone – Digestive Cancer Europe

Digestive Cancer Europe shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Did you know that famous storyteller Hans Christian Andersen died in 1875 from liver cancer?

His story shows that liver cancer can impact anyone’s life, regardless of age, background, or legacy.

While Andersen lived at a time when little was known about preventing liver cancer, today we understand that there are ways to lower your risk with every choice.

For example, you can get vaccinated against hepatitis B, test and treat hepatitis C, keep up with regular checkups if you’re at risk, maintain a healthy weight, limit alcohol intake, avoid smoking, and follow healthy lifestyle habits.

Learn more.”
