Hani Friedman Bouganim on Industrial Sovereignty and AI in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Hani Friedman Bouganim, Executive Vice President Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain (Industrial Operations) at Servier, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I was honored to take part in the Talk Pharma roundtable organized by L’Usine Nouvelle to discuss a question that is becoming increasingly critical for our industry: how can we rise to the challenge of sovereignty and performance?

The discussion highlighted a clear reality: industrial sovereignty in healthcare is not an abstract concept – it is an operational imperative that requires long-term commitment, strategic investment, and continuous innovation

At Servier, as an independent pharmaceutical group, we believe that a medicine truly exists only when its entire production chain is fully mastered. From API production to manufacturing, quality, and distribution, controlling the full value chain is essential to ensure quality, resilience, and continuity of supply for patients.

AI is becoming a powerful enabler of this ambition. By transforming manufacturing, quality, and supply chain operations, it allows us to move from reactive to predictive models, making our operations more agile, efficient, and resilient. But AI is not just a technology shift – it is also a cultural transformation, reshaping the way we work, collaborate, and create value across the industrial value chain.

Thank you to L’Usine Nouvelle and all participants for the insightful discussion and rich exchanges.”
