Much of what we know about the genetics and biology of colorectal cancer comes from studies conducted primarily in populations of European ancestry. That leaves important questions unanswered for many people around the world.
The CRC-Gen Study is working to address this gap by investigating the molecular causes of early-onset colorectal cancer in South Africans of African ancestry.
Led by Dr. June Fabian, the study brings together researchers, clinicians, cancer registry experts, and patient advocates to ensure that both the science and the patient perspective shape the future of colorectal cancer care.
