“Today we had the pleasure of hosting the webinar ‘Introducing DIVIA in Pakistan: Advancing Global Access to Molecular Diagnostics for Children with Cancer.’
Across many low- and middle-income countries, limited access to molecular diagnostics remains one of the major barriers to timely, accurate diagnosis and risk-adapted treatment for children with cancer. DIVIA seeks to address this challenge by leveraging nanopore sequencing, a technology with the potential to deliver high-quality genomic information using more affordable, portable, and locally implementable platforms.

- Dr. Thomas Alexander, who explored how adaptive genome sequencing can translate innovation into global impact for childhood leukemia.
- Dr. Javeria Aijaz, who presented the real-world validation of the technology for molecular characterization of ALL in LMIC settings and its role in expanding equitable access to molecular diagnostics for children with cancer worldwide.
- Dr. Naeem Jabbar, who shared the experience of integrating protocol-linked genomic sequencing into the management of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
