Giuseppe Caruso: Expanding Treatment Options Across Gynecologic Cancers

Giuseppe Caruso, Medical Consultant at The European Institute of Oncology, shared on LinkedIn:

“My postcards from IGCS2026

For those who, like me, couldn’t make it to beautiful Montréal this year: I finally had the chance to go through the congress content, and here are my key takeaways, in 3 postcards that I want to share with you.

Ovarian cancer – The next wave of targeted agents

Beyond FRα: CDH6, TROP2, MUC16 and p53mut are becoming real therapeutic targets in PROC and LGSOC (Rina – S, Sofe – M, CUSP06, sacituzumab govitecan, ubamatamab, rezatapopt).

Endometrial and cervical cancer – ADCs and precision targeting
TROP2 (sac – TMT) and Nectin – 4 (SYS6002) ADCs are widening options after platinum + IO, and TP53 Y220C reactivation brings mutation – specific precision oncology to EC.

Surgery – Less is more
ALICE, PHENIX – II and FIND support safe de – escalation: less morbidity, no loss in oncologic outcomes, and more fertility – sparing options.”
