Giuseppe Banna: Lung Cancer Discussions at CONFER Iasi on ADCs and EGFR Strategies

Giuseppe Banna, Consultant Medical Oncologist at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“It was a real pleasure to participate once again this year in the CONFER in Iasi, organized by our Romanian Oncology colleagues. I particularly enjoyed a very engaging session on lung cancer, where we discussed antibody-drug conjugate ADCs, reviewing results achieved so far, next-generation drugs on the horizon, and the concept of using these therapies as platforms rather than just smart chemotherapies.

It was also very stimulating to discuss first-line strategies for EGFR positive lung cancer with Alessio Cortellini, focusing on treatment intensification and how to interpret emerging first-line data. Excellent discussion led by the chairs Dana Clement, Laura Mazilu and Mircea Dediu.

I am grateful for the usual hospitality and warmth of the Romanian colleagues, and it was wonderful to share moments of friendship with Maria Barbu, Dr. Akash Maniam and Dulf Daniel and plan collaborations and projects.”
