Giselle Sholler: THON 2026 Raised $18.8M for Children with Cancer

Giselle Sholler, Division Chief of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT at Penn State Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“An incredible weekend at THON 2026!

The Penn State University students created a magical weekend celebrating our patients and dancing for 46 hours (no sitting!) and raising over $18.8 Million for children with cancer being treated at Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital and funding our research to bring more therapies and hope to children with cancer. It was inspiring to hear the stories bravely told by our patients and their families about their journeys.

These college students have created something so much bigger than we could have imagined and are rewriting the script for children with cancer. I am so thankful to play a small role in this enormous team!
FTK! (For the Kids!)”
