“The World Cancer Congress starts Thursday in Hong Kong.
What I like most about this programme is the breadth of the exchange: prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, policy, implementation, advocacy, and the perspectives of people living with cancer.
The scale is impressive – 151 sessions and workshops, 779 abstracts, 44 talks and presentations across pavilions and the Spotlight Stage, plus plenaries, UICC sessions and regional meetings.
But the real value of a congress like this is not the number of sessions. It is what happens when people working in very different health systems compare what works, what does not, and what can actually be adapted locally.
Looking forward to three days of learning, discussion and partnership in Hong Kong.”
