Gerry Hanna: Great Cross Over Between Geography and Radiotherapy

Gerry Hanna, Consultant in Radiation Oncology at Trinity College Dublin, shared post on LinkedIn:

“Brilliant work by our St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network, SLICR fellows Ciaran Malone, Samantha Ryan and Jill Nicholson on our most recent paper on SGRT evaluation metrics.

Introduces quantitative terrain based metrics to evaluate SGRT ROIs.
Metrics distinguish relevant topographies in breast and head and neck SGRT.
Translates subjective “good topography” to an objective SGRT framework for SGRT ROI design, evaluation, and training.

Great cross over between geography and radiotherapy with a novel concept in this field.

Also super to see the ongoing outputs from our St Luke’s Institute of Cancer Research Fellows, advancing the field of Radiation Oncology for the benefits of patients.”
