Foundation S’ Rare Humanitarian Programme Began Supporting Patients in Ukraine

Foundation S shared a post on LinkedIn:

“More than two decades ago, our Rare Humanitarian Programme began supporting patients in Ukraine – bringing life-saving treatments to those who needed them most.

Since 2004, when the first Gaucher patients were approved for humanitarian access, we have remained steadfast in our commitment – including a visit in 2019 to Kyiv to meet patients and advocates.

After several especially difficult years for our patient community in Ukraine, seeing the country represented at this year’s Direct Relief opening in Europe carried even greater significance.

Through the Rare Humanitarian Programme, we’ve worked to provide not only medicines but also solutions that bridge critical gaps and bring hope where it was once scarce.

Seeing Ukraine represented is a powerful reminder that the impact of long-term partnerships goes far beyond health. It touches families, communities, and futures, exactly when support is needed most.

Our heartfelt thank you to every physician and member of the rare disease community for their unwavering support of patients around the globe.”
