Fidel Rubagumya: Survival Outcomes of Cervical Cancer Patients Treated With EBRT Boost in Rwanda

Fidel Rubagumya, Adjunct Associate Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine, shared a post on X:

“Published: In this cohort of 577 women with cervical cancer treated in Rwanda, we show that in settings without brachytherapy, external beam radiotherapy boost with concurrent chemotherapy can achieve meaningful survival. The 2-year OS was 62.2% with CRT and 76.4% with induction chemotherapy + CRT.”
