Felipe Couñago, Medical Director at GenesisCare Spain, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“RECORD 2026 has come to an end, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved together.
It was a privilege to co-chair this meeting alongside Fernando López Campos and to welcome more than 220 attendees for two days of outstanding scientific discussion, innovation, and collaboration.
One of the highlights of RECORD 2026 was bringing together, for the first time in Spain, the leadership of the three major radiation oncology societies:
Neha Vapiwala: President of American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO)
Barbara Jereczek-Fossa – President of European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO)
Patricia Diezhandino García: President-Elect of SEOR .es
It was also an honour to learn from an outstanding international faculty, including Piet Ost, Thomas Zilli , Gemma Sancho Pardo, Alfonso Gomez-Iturriaga, Antonio José Conde Moreno, Anna Maria Boladeras Inglada , Sandra Fernández, Antonio L. and Iván Henriquez Lopez.
Together, we explored the future of radiation oncology, artificial intelligence, proton therapy, high-risk prostate cancer, salvage radiotherapy, elective pelvic irradiation, and many of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
A special thank you to Recordati España for its unwavering commitment to medical education and for making RECORD 2026 possible. Supporting scientific exchange and collaboration is essential to improving cancer care.
Thank you to every speaker, moderator and attendee for making RECORD 2026 such a memorable event.
See you at RECORD 2027.”

Neha Vapiwala, President at American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), shared a post by Felipe Couñago, adding:
“So grateful to Felipe Couñago, Fernando López Campos. MSc. and the entire RECORD 2026 team for the opportunity to be part of this outstanding educational event in beautiful Madrid. Loved meeting so many inspiring radiation oncology colleagues from across Spain – all of us united by a patient-centered mission to advance clinical care through biological discoveries and technological advances.
PS you clearly demonstrated how the Spanish raise the bar for hospitality.”
