Quoting Lina Khattab’s post:

“In recognition of Pink October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

On behalf of AfSMA team, we’re thrilled to welcome Prof. Emad Shash and Dr. Fatma Bektash from the Breast Cancer Hospital- National Cancer Institute to the 2nd African Social Marketing Association (AfSMA) conference in Cairo this November.

Prof. Shash will contribute to one of our plenary sessions, while Dr. Bektash will deliver a 20-minute presentation as part of our parallel sessions.

We are truly grateful to both for their participation and, especially, for their generous offer to host a field visit to the hospital. This visit will give conference participants a unique opportunity to explore the work of the Patient Education Unit first-hand and discover the important role it plays in supporting, informing, and empowering people affected by breast cancer.

A huge thank you to Prof. Shash and Dr. Bektash for joining us, sharing their expertise, and opening their doors to our conference community.

We look forward to this valuable opportunity to connect social marketing with practice and learn from the impactful work being done in cancer care and patient education.
