Faizan Bashir: Could Metabolic Syndrome Predispose Individuals to Laryngeal Cancer?

Faizan Bashir, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues published in Current Oncology:

“In our recent review, we explored a compelling yet underexplored question: Could MetS predispose individuals to laryngeal cancer?

Hypertension and hyperglycemia stood out as the most influential components, and a cumulative effect was evident with increasing metabolic burden.

Amazing teamwork.”
