Insights from the ELPA European Liver Screening Week 2024 at TLM25

European Liver Patients’ Association – ELPA shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Insights from the ELPA European Liver Screening Week 2024 at TLM25!

We are proud to share our groundbreaking work at the AASLD – The Liver Meeting 2025, where Milan Mishkovikj, M.A. ELPA Board Director, and Julio Burman, ELPA Vice President, presented ‘Insights from the ELPA European Liver Screening Week 2024.’

It was a true pleasure to meet so many friends, colleagues, and stakeholders — researchers, clinicians, patient advocates, policymakers, and corporate partners — all united by one mission: a future free from liver disease.

Our poster highlighted ELPA’s unique initiative that brought liver screening directly to the people in community and public settings — including the European Parliament in Brussels. Together with our members, policy decision-makers, MEPs, European Commissioner, our stakeholders and partners under patronage of the European Parliament, we raised awareness, empowered early detection, and demonstrated the power of collaboration across Europe.

Heartfelt thanks to American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) for an inspiring congress and to everyone who visited and supported our work — including our great friends from EASL, Ben Hainsworth, and many others who continue to champion liver health on the global stage.

This achievement is a reminder that when science, clinical practice, policy, and patient voices come together, change truly happens.

Together, we move one step closer to early detection, prevention, and better liver health for all.”
