HPV Vaccination is Saving Lives – European Cancer Organisation

European Cancer Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn:

“It’s the strongest evidence yet: HPV vaccination is saving lives.

A new study in The Lancet, using the latest mortality data from England, shows that vaccination against the human papillomavirus is reducing cervical cancer deaths – not just infections and diagnoses.

Prof. Daniel Kelly OBE and Prof. Margaret Stanley, Co-Chairs of the ECO HPV and Hep B Action Network, reflect on what these findings mean for cancer prevention, public confidence and the future of HPV vaccination across Europe.

The next step is delivering stronger systems, wider access and vaccination programmes that can reach every eligible young person.”
