Carmen Monge-Montero, Researcher and Global Cancer Advocate, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Happy to have graduated from the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme Cohort 8 last week in Madrid!
Being part of this program has been an incredible experience. We were more than 100 passionate patient advocates from all around the world – representing so many different health conditions, cultures, and perspectives. Each person brought their own story, and together we created a unique group.
The European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) has given me valuable tools to strengthen my work as a patient advocate and researcher
This graduation was also extra special because it was one of my personal goals for this year – and I’m so happy to see it come true.
I’m deeply thankful to the EUPATI team, our amazing trainers, and all my fellow advocates for the energy, openness, and friendship shared during this time.
I’m leaving Madrid full of gratitude, ideas, and motivation to keep working towards more equitable and meaningful involvement of people affected by cancer (and all conditions) in every step of health innovation.”
