“This week in Berlin, the inaugural ESMOAI25 Congress is uniting AI experts with oncologists and cancer researchers with domain expertise not only to explore the growing impact of AI as both a transformational technology and a scientific discipline in oncology research and development, but also to acknowledge the impact AI has already had on oncology and pathology.
I look forward to discussing the potential that AI brings in de-risking drug development as part of an educational session on Friday, 14th November at 13:00 CET. Our conversation will center around how AI can transform clinical development through the next generation of AI-based biomarkers for precision oncology. I would encourage attendees to join and take part in the Question and Answers and discussion.
My AstraZeneca colleagues will also be presenting a multitude of research focused on our AI-enabled computational pathology platform, Quantitative Continuous Scoring (QCS), and the utilization of foundation models for biomarker discovery and development: all highlighting the ways that domain specific and multimodal foundation models, synthetic data generation and agentic frameworks are driving the future of not only computational pathology, but also cancer biomarker development at large.
