Enes Yeşilbaş, Medical Oncologist at Ankara Etlik City Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“An unforgettable week at the ESO Multidisciplinary Masterclass in Oncology Summer Edition in Athens, Greece.
During four intensive days, we explored gastrointestinal, genitourinary, breast, lung, gynaecological and rare cancers through multidisciplinary lectures, tumour boards, clinical case discussions, and interactive workshops. The programme brought together experts from across Europe and highlighted the importance of collaborative decision-making in modern oncology.
A particular highlight for me was having our challenging lung cancer case selected for presentation at the Molecular Tumor Board. It was a privilege to present and discuss the case with distinguished faculty members and colleagues from across Europe, representing Türkiye in such an inspiring educational environment.
Beyond the clinical sessions, the workshops on palliative care, medical writing, resilience, communication with patients, and artificial intelligence emphasized that excellence in oncology extends far beyond treatment decisions alone.
My sincere gratitude to the European School of Oncology and to the exceptional course leadership: Prof. Florian Lordick, future ESMO President: Prof. Barbara Jereczek-Fossa, current ESTRO President: and Prof. Evangelia Razis.
I would also like to thank the outstanding faculty members who generously shared their expertise throughout the week, including Panagiotis J. Vlachostergios, Elena Verzoni, Ursula Vogl, Helena Linardou, Monica Casiraghi, Giuseppe Caruso, Anes Pasic, Bruno Vincenzi, Ioannis Boukovinas, Mirosława Püsküllüoğlu, and many others who contributed to this remarkable learning experience.
Grateful for the opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, challenge my clinical reasoning, and build lasting connections with colleagues from across Europe.
Proud to represent Türkiye at this exceptional educational programme.”
