Cancer Care on the EU Budget Line and Beyond – ELLOK

“Cancer Care on the EU Budget Line and Beyond

Last week, the European Parliament hosted an important discussion on the future of cancer care in Europe.

Hosted by MEP Nicholas Papandreou, opened by European Parliament Vice-President Victor Negrescu and organised by All.Can International in partnership with All.Can Greece | Hellenic Cancer Federation | ELLOK, the event ‘Europe’s Investment Challenge: Financing Efficient, Person-Centred Cancer Care’ brought together policymakers, health system leaders, patient advocates and international experts to explore how Europe can deliver better cancer outcomes while making more effective use of healthcare resources.

The event also marked the launch of All.Can International’s new report on implementing person-centred cancer care, offering practical recommendations to improve outcomes, experiences and efficiency across cancer systems.

As discussions intensify around the EU’s 2028-2034 budget framework, speakers highlighted the importance of investing in sustainable, patient-centred cancer care. Many of these themes strongly resonate with the findings of the recent All.Can Greece pilot implementation about the efficiency of cancer care in Greece.

As a partner of this important initiative, ELLOK is proud to support efforts to keep the patient perspective at the heart of cancer policy discussions in Greece and across Europe.

We encourage colleagues and stakeholders to watch the recording.”
