“Cervical cancer is preventable, treatable and together, we can eliminate it.
Each year, more than 350 000 women lose their lives to this disease. 90% of these deaths happen in sub-Saharan Africa, where access to prevention and treatment is still limited.
According to WHO, the countries with the highest burden of cervical cancer are in Africa – making it a significant public health threat for women. But there is hope.
The solution lies in:
- early detection
- early screening
- early treatment
At Elekta Foundation, we are committed to making this a reality, bringing life saving care to women who need it the most.
Let’s turn statistics into stories of survival. Together, we can save lives.”
