“Heading to the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago? Let’s connect.
I currently provide oversight for the pharma and NCI trials in community hospitals. I am also leading the organization Sikhs in Clinical Research (SICR) and advocate for minority representation in clinical research, ensuring that their voices, values, and needs are recognized. To date, SICR has organized 50+ Health and Research Awareness Campaigns across 15+ states in the U.S., which also led to starting a new patient-perspective video series and a mobile unit (van) for health and research awareness to expand the reach in 2026. I have also published various articles, blogs, books, comics, and guides to increase the awareness of clinical research.
I am a member of the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center working group for Indigenous and AAPI representation in cancer trials, and also working with The University of Illinois Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society on patient education and awareness. I have presented at the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA)/Texas Medical Center Clinical Research, the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research, the North American Sikh Medical and Dental Association, UCLA Bhagat Puran Singh Health Initiative Inter-Collegiate Sikh Conference, Gene People Symposium 2026, and am looking forward to presenting at the 7th ACE EXPO LTD Clinical Trials Summit in May 2026.
I am also an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American College of Chest Physicians, and OneWe Reach, and have been part of several conferences, including ASCO 2025, the Center for Healthcare Innovation Health Equity Symposium, the International Myeloma Foundation event, the American Diabetes Association event, the American College of Rheumatology Convergence 2025, the IASLC/ASCO 2025 North America Conference on Lung Cancer, and the ACRP – Association of Clinical Research Professionals Conference, where SICR had the opportunity to exhibit. My work at SICR has been endorsed by various institutions, including Race in STEM, BioSpace, Clinical Leader, OncoDaily, EIN Presswire, Influential Women, and DuPage County Health Department.
Each individual I meet and each event I attend has provided opportunities to learn, build new connections, and contribute to advancing patient care and health equity.
