“Teeing Up Hope: A $1.2 Million Drive Against Cancer

‘We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.’ – Winston Churchill

Thank you to everyone who gave up their Sunday night to support the American Cancer Society Cincinnati Golf Classic. Countless people worked behind the scenes to make this event a resounding success.

As the final tallies roll in, it looks like we raised nearly $1.2 million for cancer research. This level of shared generosity is exactly how we can collectively help to ‘End cancer as we know it, for everyone.’

Congratulations to the outstanding team responsible for orchestrating such a professional evening. I want to extend a specific note of gratitude to my friend Melanie Schmid, who makes a profound difference every single day for our cancer patients through her enormous heart and dogged determination.

Melanie, this was an incredible event and I wanted to make sure I called you out by name. I also appreciate the continued support of the St. Elizabeth leadership team toward this vital mission – we are proud to be yearly sponsors.

P.S. I may or may not be in the doghouse at home with Andrea for ‘winning’ two tickets to Sunday at the Masters this coming April during the live auction.

I maintain that I was only thinking about the cancer patients when the bidding started, right?”
