“A new NEJM Group column released. This one on clinical equipoise. Often associated with clinical trials, it’s an issue that I struggle with, especially in the quest to personalize care.
‘Does earlier always mean better – or simply different? When should this drug be used? What do we give up by using it now instead of later? These questions do not have clear answers. And perhaps more unsettlingly, they are not questions that evidence alone can resolve.’”
